You know what? Considering this is an episode with almost no Scully content whatsoever, I really quite like it.
The gall of this show never ceases to impress me. This show it actually claiming that their fictional villain is responsible for the death of JFK AND Martin Luther King. LMAO. It's ridiculous, and I love it.
I also fucking love Chris Owens. He does such a good job here, playing Young!CSM. He's a great actor. I looked him up on IMDB to see what he's doing at the moment - not much. I was excited to see he's in The Incredible Hulk that comes out this year. But he's playing 'Delta Force Commando #2'. Poor Chris Owens :( What happened?
ANYWAY. Yes. I think it's great that the show decided to give a little backstory to CSM. It's fun to keep things mysterious, but enough stuff is mysterious in this damn show, for them to have a little fun. And this episode is fun.
Remember when I said that in FWID, the idea of CSM being the reincarnation of a Nazi didn't really fit? Well, it does. He was born on 20th August 1940. So he could concievably be the reincarnation of a Nazi. Well done, X Files, something makes sense for once!
And awwwwwww! Noob!Scully! Always a joy to see :)
